Can you introduce yourself please?
Charles Bible Buck Hatchko –I am a Catholic Apologist and Evangelist well over 30 Years–I am from Scranton Penn. U.S.A.
I have written and had published over 100 Biblical Articles–I have been in Catholic Traditionalism over 20 Years and involved in Catholic Charismatic Renewal for over 25 years. I was born in a Byzantine Ruthanian Rite.
I have spoken for the People of God Community at Kings College in Wilkes Barre Penn. on doctrines such as Justification–Salvation–Evangelization–Repentance–Hell– etc. back in the early 1990’s. Had articles on the Eastern Center at the University of Scranton Back in the 1980’s by Byzantine Jesuit Fr. Thomas Sable–
How do you see the world today?
The world needs absolute renewal back to God–The evil in the world is incomprehensible, and it is an absolute that God’s Word–Commandments Precepts and Testimonies be promulgated and lived. Justice is the key to life and the world must live by Biblical principles and Christian Morals.
What would you like to change in the world?
Yes the world needs absolute change–(Psalm 24:1) and (1 Cor. 10:26) gives absolute witness –The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it. The world can change if God becomes first and because personal in people’s lives. People need a personal relationship with Christ. Evangelization of absolute Catholic truth–dogma’s and morals would change the world. Why? Natural Law should be the jurisprudence of the world would show mankind the way to follow so to practice the good and avoid evil. Natural Law jurisprudence is catholic jurisprudence which finds it cognizance in Biblical Revelation
What are you grateful for?
Grateful that I know, love and serve God, and grateful for the good life God has given me with a wonderful family.
What mistake have you committed that you would not let others commit?
My mistake was too much worries about sustaining life, and not putting God first years and years ago. God will sustain anyone. Like (Phil. 4:13) states–We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Look at (2 Cor. 3:5) We are not sufficient of anything coming from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God. Also in (2 Cor. 12:9) God states–My grace is sufficient for you. Therefore our hearts should not be troubled and live in God.
Water or Wine? Which is your favourite and why?
Water –because it sustains life. Wine is ok in moderation, but one must be aware of drunkeness which is sinful. Living water signifies the Holy Spirit.
What is your favourite Bible verse?
Two favorite–(John 6:53-55)–(John 3:16)
Any advice for the human race?
Find and live in God is my advice. Peace and Joy come through God in our lives.
Any books recommendations?
Books I recommend –The Bible–The Catechism of the Catholic Church–Papal Encyclicals–Lives of the Saints
Your final thoughts.
I would like the teachings of Christ be promoted through good Catholic Biblical Commentaries–like the Navarre Bible Studies–I would love the Church to somehow make available the Catholic Catechism reach the hands of all peoples.
Official biography on the Catholic Legate website.
Charlie Hatchko, Apologist – Otherwise known as “Bible Buck” by his former trucking buddies, Chuck is our resident bible apologetic specialist. The Catholic Legate is honoured to have a guy like Charlie on staff because he has the grit, the tenacity, and the knowledge which are going to prove invaluable to our Apostolate in the coming years.
Charlie “The Russian Bear” Hatchko is somethin’ else. Some Catholics know their Bible and some Catholics don’t. But then there’s the Russian Bear. As the working man’s blue-collar Catholic apologist, Charlie can go toe-to-toe with the slickest and quickest fundy bible thumper – rattling off Bible verses faster than most country auctioneers think. He’s a living reminder never to underestimate your opponent when engaging in Bible apologetics.
Charlie is a Russian Catholic who possesses an eighth grade Catholic education. He grew up in the mining town of Scranton, and he bears an uncanny resemblance to the legendary professional wrestler Ivan Koloff. Charlie earned the CB handle “Bible Buck” during the twelve years he spent as a long-distance truck driver, and for the past decade he’s worked as a jail guard.
He has practically memorized the entire Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and decades of back issues of Homiletic & Pastoral Review. As a Catholic apologist, he has given numerous talks in North Eastern Pennsylvania and written over a hundred articles for local community publications. Charlie’s one desire in life is to bring souls to Christ through the Catholic Church
You can reach him on his Facebook.
I love Uncle Charles. He knows the Scriptures better than me and I love that. I am now trying to be the next Bible Buck. So help me God. Amen.
